HIGH-FASHION MODELING WORKSHOP
WORKSHOP SUMMARY
TFA works with professional facilitators and current international models with many years of experience in the modeling & performing arts industry to ensure that a high standard of tuition is maintained. All programs have built-in assessment criteria which individuals are required to meet for a successful career. This workshop begins with an experienced model who tells it how it is! TFA’s Industry Experts allow the students to bring seemingly complex programs to life, by working across large campaigns requiring models for Photographic Imagery (Print Media Advertisement, Catalogues, Collaterals), Fashion (Catwalk, Magazine, Campaigns), Promotional Specialists (Product Awareness, Sampling, Brand Team Management) and Events.
TFA’s high-fashion Modeling is an intensive and informative workshop designed to prepare you for an exciting career. To become a professional model, you’ll need to know more than how to pose in front of a camera.
This workshop will be divided into four sections:
MODEL ETIQUETTE, PRINT & POSTURE, RUNWAY TECHNIQUES and BRANDING
Model etiquette will cover preparing for auditions, go-sees and bookings by following Toronto’s fashion industry standards. It will also cover modeling resume and portfolio and nutrition, grooming, skin care and model bags. Students will be taught that the more prepared
you are, the more professional you will be regardless of experience and age.
In the posing portion of the workshop, students will learn the different types of modeling for print related work and posing according to the client/creative director’s vision. Next, you’ll be prepared to hit the runway by analyzing the process (runway choreography) and practicing
the walk itself. The final portion will focus on knowing your brand and understanding what strategies to implement to market yourself.
The course is 32 hours divided into 16 hours of in-class/virtual sessions and 16 practical hours. The workshop is one month long with classes taking place only on the weekends. The classes are kept small to ensure the quality of learning. There are no pre-requisites required to take this workshop. Most of the classes will take place online whereas your practical hours need to be in-person.
We believe TFA is the bridge between your passion and your career in fashion.
